Company 9 is a part of a combined fire & rescue system in Loudoun County, consisting of 17 volunteer fire and/or rescue companies and the Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management (LCFR). The system is governed by an Executive Committee, which provides advice and counsel to the System Fire Chief regarding all aspects of the combined Fire & Rescue System within the county.
At Company 9, we have a combination of both volunteer and career personnel from LCFR who staff our apparatus to make sure we are ready to respond 24 hours a day, every day.

Every member of the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department is a volunteer, working alongside the members of Loudoun County Fire & Rescue. The sacrifices made by all firefighters and those who provide pre-hospital emergency care are many; the sacrifices they make as a volunteer are extraordinary. We acknowledge the time and dedication of our members and offer our gratitude for it; without them, we would not be.
